Recently, Springer has updated their "License to Publish":

  1. they updated the text that is required for self-archiving copies
  2. they allow for pre-prints to be published immediately and accepted versions after an embargo.

This issue serves as a reminder to update the text put on the front page - not only for Springer, also agreements for other major publishers (e.g., ACM, IEEE, Elsevier) should be checked and updated.

This might require a major redesign to allow for larger flexibility and improved maintainability in the long term.
